Susan!

I am Irish, but I have lived in Melbourne for over 20 years. I am passionate, positive, hard working and curious. I am constantly learning and teaching. I passionately believe in mentoring and supporting others on their journey. I have had many wonderful career opportunities and experiences and I wish to give back. I support a performance driven culture, encouraging people to excel, dream big and focus on their strengths. Attitude is everything.  

I love what I do every day, I believe in leading by example. I have a strong technology background and I am very outcome and result driven.  I passionately believe that a good project management skillset delivers results. The best results are delivered quickly and iteratively with a heavy focus on outcome. There are many methodologies, but there are no silver bullets, again, in my experience the best approach is to take parts of different methodologies and design a ‘fit for purpose’ process for an organisation based on company maturity, future plans and culture.

Outside of work, I love to run. I am a long distance runner and frequently put in 40-50kms a week. I have completed 5 marathons with a PB of 3hrs14m, but have recently settled on half marathons as my distance of choice!​

I am involved with the Irish Australian Chamber of Commerce and provide formal coaching and mentoring to Irish professionals working in Australia. I also help volunteer at Collingwood Allstar Basketball club, I have coached for 4 years, but I am recently retired and now focus on team management. Collingwood Allstar club is an excellent community club with a heavy focus on community involvement, it sponsors local children from the public housing and CALD community and encourages them to join and get involved in basketball.
